Yes. Paste a Shorts URL (youtube.com/shorts/...) the same way as a regular video link. Because Shorts are short, they typically convert in 3–6 seconds — faster than standard videos.

If the track exists as a public video on youtube.com, yes. Find it on YouTube, copy the URL, and paste it in as normal. Content exclusive to the YouTube Music app that has no public video equivalent cannot be converted.

Not at the moment — individual video URLs only. To convert a playlist, copy and convert each video separately. Batch playlist conversion is planned for a future update.

Shorts and short clips: 3–8 seconds. Standard music videos (3–5 min): 5–15 seconds. Longer videos (30+ min): up to 40 seconds. Do not refresh the page during conversion — it cancels the process and you'll need to restart.

128kbps — smallest file size, perfectly clear for voice, podcasts, and speech. 192kbps — a solid balance for casual music listening. 320kbps — highest MP3 quality, recommended for music on any decent headphones or speaker. For music, always choose 320kbps if file size is not a concern.

Not always — output quality is capped by the source video. Most YouTube videos stream at 128–256kbps AAC audio. Selecting 320kbps tells our converter to extract at the highest quality available from that specific video. On a high-quality source (like an official music video), 320kbps makes a clear difference. On a low-quality upload, the difference is minimal.

Yes. Open the site in Safari. After conversion, long-press the Download MP3 button and tap Download Linked File. The MP3 saves to your Files app under Downloads. No. We do not log or store your YouTube URLs, the converted audio files, or any record of your activity. Each conversion is processed and immediately discarded. Your usage is private.

It depends on how you use it. Downloading content you have created yourself, Creative Commons-licensed videos, or public domain material is generally permitted. Converting copyrighted music for personal offline use sits in a legal grey area — technically against YouTube's Terms of Service, but rarely prosecuted for personal use. Distributing or selling downloaded content is clearly illegal. Use this tool responsibly and only for content you have the right to download.

The most common causes: the video is private or members-only, the URL contains extra playlist parameters, or the server had a brief spike in load. Wait 10 seconds and try again with the clean base URL (youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEOID). If it fails consistently, the video may be restricted.

On iPhone Safari, tap and hold the Download button, then choose Download Linked File. On desktop browsers, right-click the button and select Save Link As to choose your save location. A direct tap may stream the file instead of saving it on some browsers.

This is a YouTube restriction that no converter can bypass. It applies to: private videos, members-only content, age-gated videos, and region-locked videos. Only publicly accessible videos can be converted. Verify the video plays normally in an incognito tab before trying to convert it.

Long videos (60+ minutes) can take up to 45 seconds. Don't refresh — that cancels and restarts the job. If it stalls beyond 2–3 minutes with no result, do a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows / Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) and try a shorter video first to confirm the tool is responding normally.

Output quality is limited by the original YouTube video. Most uploads stream at 128kbps AAC — selecting 320kbps extracts at the highest quality available but can't improve what isn't there. For the best MP3 quality, choose official music videos or high-definition uploads as your source. Low-quality, fan-uploaded, or compressed videos will produce lower-quality MP3s regardless of the bitrate you select.
